Karnal, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala were enveloped in fog while hazy conditions prevailed in Chandigarh, MeT officials said today.
Hisar and Ambala faced misty conditions, officials said, adding due to foggy conditions, movement of some trains and traffic on Highways was affected.
However, minimum temperatures in the region hovered between three to six degree Celsius above normal. Ludhiana had a low of 10 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal while Amritsar's minimum temperature settled at 10.8 degrees Celsius, six notches above normal.
