Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party Imran yesterday expressed hope that the Supreme Court would decide the fate of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif early and during this month the nation would get rid of him.
He termed the Sharif regime as a "dark night" and said the capital lockdown call was withdrawn as he feared bloodshed of youth.
Speaking to a largely-attended "thanksgiving" public meeting here, Imran claimed Pakistan had changed now and the Supreme Court would start accountability of the Prime Minister.
He also called Nawaz 'Mian Panama Sharif' and his brother Shahbaz 'Showbaz Sharif'.
In a setback to Sharif, the Supreme Court on Tuesday had ordered to form a judicial commission to probe into the Panama Papers scandal involving corruption allegations against the family of the beleaguered premier.
Reacting to the court's ruling, Khan had called off the planned anti-government rally and said that it would be marked as a day of thanksgiving in Islamabad.
