The police seized 11 country made pistols, a musket of 12 bore, two magazines, 311 cartridges of rifles besides equipment to manufacture arms from the house during a raid late last night.
Naugachhia SP Pankaj Sinha said the police raided the house in Badi Makandpur village under Gopalpur police station following disclosure made by an arrested accused in a loot case that he purchased arms from Suman Kumar Choudhary, husband of the sarpanch.
Police had seized arms and its manufacturing equipment from this house in the past too when Suman Choudhary himself was a Sarpanch, the SP said.
