Ten students of the JSPM college in Tathavde had gone to Pavana Dam for a picnic and they entered the water despite not knowing how to swim.
Giving details of the incident, police inspector Pradeep Kale of the Lonavala Rural police station said, "We have recovered one body of a student but three other students who drowned have not been traced".
The names of the deceased students are Akash Sonavle (20, Thergaon), Likhit Yevle (22,Vadgaon), Shivam Mulay (21, Gevrai) and Kiran Hunkare (21, Pimpri), he said.
