Four persons including two minors were killed while one was injured in three incidents of electrocution in Bihar's Jehanabad district on Tuesday, police said.

While 12-year-old Pawan Kumar and 30-year-old Yogendra Yadav were electrocuted to death, one Guddu Kumar was injured after coming in contact with a live wire at Ajaybigaha Dhawapar village.

Police said the incident occurred when the victims were returning from a wedding on a tractor.

In another incident, 14-year-old Agastya Raj died on the spot after coming in contact with a live wire at Ner village while he was going to a coaching institute.

Angry locals protested on the National Highway 83 with the body of the victim, demanding compensation for his family and action against farmers responsible for leaving the live wire unattended after using it for irrigation, police said.

Families of all the three deceased were given Rs 20,000 each as ex-gratia by the administration.

In the third incident, 50-year old Bachiya Devi was electrocuted to death at Amarpur village after a 11,000 volt of pwer passed through her house following a fault in the local transformer, police said.

Locals protested at electricity department office alleging that no action was taken to repair the faulty transformer despite several deputations for the same.
