Four persons were arrested after 440 kg of intoxicants were allegedly recovered from their possession here today, police said.
They were held from the Dadri-Lal Kuan GT Road, under Bisrakh police station limits, while transporting the substance in a mini truck, the police said.
The accused have been identified as Ankit, a resident of Ghaziabad, Robin from Bulandshahr, Omdutt and Khemchand, both from Hapur, a police official said.
"Ten cartons containing a total of 440 kg 'Coco Pol' (a white powdered intoxicant) were seized from them and their vehicle impounded," the official said.
According to the police, the four accused have been charged under Indian Penal Code section 414 (assisting in concealment of stolen property) among others.
