Four killed as car rams into temple

Four persons were today killed on the spot while one was injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a temple near Dineshpur road in Udham Singh Nagar district.
The deceased identified as Furkan (21), Taukeer Ahmad (27), Shahnawaz (22) and Suhaan (30) hailed from Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh and are said to be wildlife smugglers, Additional SP Kamlesh Upadhyay said.
The car was going at a high speed and was badly smashed after it hit the temple damaging its portions, he said.
The injured has been rushed to Sushila Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani, police said, adding an investigation is underway.
