Additional District Sessions Judge Rajbir Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 each on the accused.
The court after holding the accused -- Aklim, Kalim, Kasim, and Ikram -- guilty under section 302 of the IPC also asked them to pay Rs 30,000 to the victim's family from the imposed fine sum.
According to government lawyer Jitender Tyagi, Zakir, a member of the City Board was shot dead by the accused in Mehmodnagar locality here on April 8, 2011.
Police had registered a case against 15 people in this connection.
The court today acquitted the remaining eleven accused on account of lack of evidence.
