Wallace was a guest on the radio show "The Mike Gallagher Show", where Gallagher said of the former American Idol winner, "Holy cow, did she blow up."
To which Wallace had added, "She could stay off the deep-dish pizza for a little while."
Now, in a statement, she said, "I sincerely apologise to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment. I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her."
Clarkson, 32, who was mocked last month by British TV personality Katie Hopkins about her figure, discussed her weight gain with Ellen DeGeneres on Friday, said The Hollywood Reporter.
