Transporters said huge position of trucks against tight cargo movements mainly put pressure on freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Hyderabad, Guwahati and Vijaywada rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 60,000, Rs 55,000 and Rs 62,000.
Rates to Thiruvnanthapuram, Kochi and Surat also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 80,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 28,000.
