Freight rates for select destinations rise

Freight rates for nine tonnes load for select southern destinations rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today on tight availability of trucks against increased cargo movements.
Transporters said tight availability of trucks against increased cargo movements mainly led to rise in select southern destination freight rates.
Freight rates from Delhi to Bangalore, Chennai and Mysore rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 67,000, Rs 69,000 and Rs 71,000, respectively.
The following are today's freights per 10-tonne load: Jaipur 19,000 Hyderabad 57,000
Chandigarh 20,500 Vijayawada 60,000
Ludhiana 21,500 Bangalore 67,000
