Friend stabs girl to death

A girl was stabbed to death today by her friend in a veterinary college hostel in Bichwal area here, police said.
The girl, a student of first year veterinary science, was asked to come outside her hostel room by her friend and classmate Dinesh Kumar. When she came out to meet him, the youth hit her with a bottle before stabbing her, they said.
The youth then also stabbed himself, police said.
They were rushed to PBM government hospital where the girl, hailing form Jaipur and aged around 20 years, died and Dinesh is undergoing treatment.
"The matter is being probed to ascertain the reasons behind the murder," a police official said.
