Arunachal Pradesh PWD Minister Gojen Gadi during his tour to East Siang district today held a meeting with BRO's Project Brahmank chief engineer Anil Kumar at Pasighat and directed him to complete the 104-km Bame to Akajan road within three years.
Pointing out that he had announced this during the Independence Day celebration at Aalo in response to public demand, Kumar assured to take up the work on war footing to complete the road as targeted, according to an official release.
Earlier, the minister along with senior engineers inspected the town roads of Pasighat and directed them to begin the construction of the proposed RCC and other town roads soon.
Later the minister inspected the incomplete bridge over Siyom river where the villagers of Komsing, Ramsing, Beging, Jorsing, Pangyi, Sisen and Pongging urged him to complete the 224-metre Baily Bridge bridge, whose foundation stone was laid by former chief minister, late Dorjee Khandu in 2008.
Convinced that 3,000 villages were suffering for want of connectivity to their villages, the minister announced to complete the bridge within two years.
