Gang of robbers active in Ghaziabad busted, 2 arrested

Police here claimed to have busted a gang of robbers with the arrest of two persons, involved in several cases of loot and theft in the district.
Wahid, a resident of Baghpat and Afzal, a resident of Meerut were wanted in several cases of loot. They were members of notorious Chota Rashid-led gang.
"Accused told police that they robbed houses. They were wanted in several loot cases," said a senior police officer.
After a tip-off, they were arrested on NH-58 near Duhai Gate late last night.
Police said that the accused have confessed to their involvement in a number of crimes across the district.
"We are interrogating the accused about their other accomplices, who would also be arrested soon," the officer said.
