Gang of vehicle thieves busted, four held

Police today claimed to have busted a gang of vehicle-lifters here with the arrest of its four members and recovery of 10 stolen motorcycles from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team nabbed the accused, identified as Amandeep alias Khali, Deepak alias Deepa, Nirmal Singh and Jatinder Singh alias Mannu and seized the vehicles which they had stolen from various places in Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts, they said.
Besides this, police also recovered 650 gms of intoxicating drug powder from their possession.
Efforts are on to nab the remaining members of the gang.
