According to him, Germany along with the Netherlands, Argentina and hosts Brazil would complete the last-four line-up.
"I think it will be ultimately a contest among two Latin American and two Europeans countries for the coveted Trophy. Having seen Germany's sheer dominance last night, I think they would go all the way," the East Bengal player told PTI on the sidelines of a promotional event here.
The biggest strength for the Germans, Hossain said, is their ability to play as a unit.
He referred to how in yesterday's match a player of the status of Cristiano Ronaldo was rendered ineffective by the Germans in their 4-0 rout of Portugal.
Hossain also recalled how hat-trick hero Thomas Mueller played against him in Bayern Munich's tour to Kolkata.
Hossain also referred to the Netherlands' 5-1 thrashing of defending champions Spain.
"The deep defence could not catch up with the speed of (Robin) van Persie who was more than 100 per cent faster than (Gerard) Pique and (Sergio) Ramos.
