Ghosal, Chinappa for Maharashtra state open event

India's highest-ranked player Saurav Ghosal would commence his bid to defend his men's crown along with women's title holder Joshna Chinappa when the 38th Bombay Gymkhana Maharashtra State Open senior squash championship begins here on Wednesday.
Ghosal, the world no.15 who reached the quarter-finals of the World Championship in London last month, would be challenged by the likes of India no.2 Mahesh Mangaonkar, who finished third in the British Junior Open, and Harinderpal Singh Sandhu, ranked 80th globally, for the men's crown.
Competitions would also be held for professionals, over-35, over-45 and over-55. All matches will be played over best of five games.
