Girl chokes to death after 'dupatta' tightens around her neck

In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old girl allegedly choked to death after her 'dupatta' got stuck in an iron rod of a slide when she was playing at a park in the city, police said.
Akshaya, a Class VII student, had gone to play in the park near her house at Vadavalli last evening.
When she did not return, her mother went to search for her and found that her body was hanging from her 'dupatta', the end of which was stuck in an iron rod attached to the park's slide, police said.
