TDP President and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is also Rao's son-in-law, the leader's widow Lakshmi Parvathi, family members and several party leaders visited NTR Ghat here this morning and offered floral tributes.
Describing N T Rama Rao as a "yugpurush", Naidu said the legendary actor and politician would be remembered forever.
N T Rama Rao's son Harikrishna also paid respects to the leader. He was accompanied by his sons, actors junior NTR and Kalyan Ram.
He created history by storming to power in 1983 in just nine months after forming TDP. Rao is also hailed for his role in the non-Congress politics in the country till 1990s.
