According to an official release, Gogoi asked Chief Secretary V K Pipersenia and the newly-appointed DGP Mukesh Sahay to step up offensive against the ULFA(I) and also NSCN (K) and nab the culprits.
Meanwhile, the chief minister had a telephonic talk with GoC 3 Corps this morning regarding last night's incident and requested to intensify the combing operations.
Gogoi said he would take up with the Centre steps for an all-out operation against the ULFA(I) and NSCN(K) to bust their camps in Myanmar.
He said the administration has to gear up to counter the threats and to come up with the expectations of the people.
