Custom officials seized fourty-one gold biscuits worth Rs 1.40 crore, allegedly smuggled from Dubai to India, and arrested one person in this connection at the international Rajasansi Airport here.
An Air India flight from Dubai landed at the airport last night and a Amritsar resident was arrested with forty one gold biscuits hidden in his leather belt, a custom official said.
At the time of custom clearance, the passenger tried to concealed the gold biscuits brought from Dubai to evade custom duty, the official said.
