State Public Works Department Minister Ramakrishna Dhavalikar told reporters here that the state government will ensure that there is no shortage of essential commodities in the state, even if transporters strike.
"We can import the essential commodities from the markets of Pune, Mumbai and Gujarat," he said.
All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) has threatened to boycott Goa operations, if the state government did not withdraw the entry tax levied on the goods vehicles coming from neighbouring states.
