"We have now extended the deadline to accept suggestions and objections to the Regional plan till January 18. People will now have more opportunity to participate in the process of framing this plan," Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza, who also holds Town and Country Planning Portfolio, told reporters yesterday.
The state government earlier had decided January 3, 2016 as the last date to receive any communication on this plan.
"Most of the applications are concerning minor issues like small area not being included in the settlement zone. Some institutions have demanded to increase floor area ratio while there are few which have demanded that their land should be allowed to be converted from one zone to another," the deputy chief minister said.
