The Ministry of Electronics and IT today launched a new microsite which will run contests and other activities based on government schemes.
"Called Modi Festival, the section will carry details of government's field events that are expected to start in a month. This section will be managed by the ministry of information and broadcasting. All the data will be provided by them," a government official told PTI.
Besides this, the microsite named threeyears on MyGov website, will come up with contests around government schemes, achievements and policies to engage with citizens.
"Today, we are making effort to take participative governance forward through MyGov. Therefore, on completion of three years of government, we have made 11 themes and the good thing in these is that you will get to see an animated character which will guide you through the site," Law and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said at the launch event.
The quiz section will have a 2,000-questions bank and every person will get a set of randomly chosen 30 questions.
"These questions are about various schemes and policies implemented by the government in last three years. These questions are about their performance, achievements and initiatives. It is an opportunity for people to learn about government scheme in an educational and entertainment format," MyGov CEO Gaurav Dwivedi said.
He added that as award, top performers in the quiz will get certificate signed by the Prime Minister and invites to government events that are conducted from time to time.
The website also has a section that will give opportunity to people to translate content on government website in 12 regional languages.
The person providing correct translation will get points that will get added in his leadership points.
All the points of participants along with their all India rank will get published in leaderboard section of the website.
