Govt not sensitive even after 100 deaths due to note ban:

BSP chief Mayawati today accused the Narendra Modi government of not being "sensitive" to the families of "more than 100 people" who allegedly died due to demonetisation.
She claimed that the problems arising out of the note ban have not lessened even as the 50-day period was nearing an end.
The Prime Minister, while announcing the decision to scrap high-value notes on November 8, had said there would be some inconvenience to people for the intial 50 days.
"Over 100 people have died due to demonetisation... But the government is not serious. It has not helped them with a single rupee. Is this government sensitive?" she said while addressing the reporters outside Parliament.

Mayawati alleged that note ban decision was taken by Modi government in a "hurry without preparation and with their political interests" in their mind.
"50 days are going to end after some days but situation has not improved in the entire country. Instead of doing drama, the Prime Minister should keep aside his personal political interest in the interest of the country and fix the shortcomings and understand the problems of the people," she said.
Stressing that the situation in the country is worsening, she said if there would be "law and order" problem in the country then the Prime Minister would "himself be responsible" for it.

She also claimed that farmers and labourers were the worst hit due to demonetisation.
