A three-member search committee, headed by former IIM-A chairman and L&T CMD Anil Naik, had recommended R Seshasayee, chairman of the Board of Directors of Infosys, CMD of Hero MotoCorp Pawan Munjal besides Parekh, according to official sources.
These names were forwarded to the Human Resource Development(HRD) ministry by the IIM-A administration for consideration, they said.

The sources said the process for selecting a new candidate for the post has started and the Ministry has sought new names, they said.
