"To boost tourism in Jammu & Kashmir, the government has decided to extend the facility to travel by any airline to visit Jammu & Kashmir on LTC under the Special Dispensation Scheme for central government employees for a period of two years beyond September 25, 2016," an official statement said.
Earlier in June, the government had permitted its employees to travel to Jammu & Kashmir by private airlines till September 2016.
Rules till then allowed government employees to travel by Air India only.
