Gram, kabuli gram slide on muted demand

Barring a fall in gram and kabuli gram prices on tepid demand from retailers, other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market today.
Traders said besides easing demand from retailers,ample stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on gram and kabuli gram prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality drifted lower by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,900-7,300, Rs 7,800-8,100 and Rs 8,200-8,300 per quintal respectively.
Kabuli gram small variety also traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 9,400-9,900 per quintal.
Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani followed suit and quoted lower at Rs 3,200 each instead of Rs 3,300 per 35 kg bag.
