Guar seed prices gained Rs 6 to Rs 4,151 per 10 quintal in futures trading on Thursday as investors increased their holdings.
Marketmen said traders opted to raise their bets which led to gain in guar seed prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed delivery for the September contract rose by Rs 6, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 4,151 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 54,270 lots.
Likewise, the delivery of October contract surged by Rs 1.5, or 0.04 per cent, to Rs 4,144 per 10 quintal as open interest stood at 82,770 lots.
