Guar seed prices enquired higher by Rs 36 to Rs 3,825 per quintal in futures trade today on widening of exposures by investors in tune with robust physical markets cues.
Market players attributed the upward movement to acceleration in demand amid halt in supplies from producing belts at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed delivery for June surged by Rs 36 or 0.95 per cent to Rs 3,825 per quintal, with an open interest of 74,400 lots.
Similarly, the delivery for May flared up by Rs 35 or 0.94 per cent to Rs 3,748 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 38,880 lots.
