Gujarat Governor O P Kohli expressed profound grief today over the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani left for Delhi after the news of Vajpayee's demise at the AIIMS hospital broke.
"Kohli has expressed deep anguish and sorrow over the death of former Prime Minister Vajpayee," stated an official release.
Rupani said the country has lost a leader in Vajpayee who rose above the party politics and respected all.
"The nation has lost its tallest leader," the chief minister said.
Gujarat deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel is also going to Delhi tonight to pay respect to the departed soul, according to sources.
