Solanki had been arrested on May 30, 2009.
"The accused lured the victim with the promise of marriage and both were living at Dabhoda village in Kheralu taluka of Mehsana district where he was arrested and custody of the girl was handed over to her parents," said advocate Govind Parmar.
Parmar, who appeared in the case along with prosecution on behalf of local NGO 'Behavioural Science Centre', had demanded that fine be imposed on the accused, which could be paid to the victim as compensation. But the court rejected the demand.
