Gur ends flat in Delhi, lifts in Muradnagar

Gur (Jaggery) prices settled flat at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sluggish demand amid negligible arrivals.
On the other hand, in Muradnagar, gur market revealed a rise of up to Rs 250 per quintal on paucity of stocks.
Marketmen said paucity of stocks due to negligible arrivals from mills amid speculative buying by stockists mainly attributed the rise in gur prices at Muradnagar.
In Muradnagar, gur pedi prices shot up by Rs 250 to Rs 2,900-3,050 as compared to previous close of Rs 2,750-2,800 per quintal.
Prices of gur Dhayya also hardened by Rs 200 to end at Rs 3,000-3,050 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,750- 3,020, khurpa Rs 2,650-2,700 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-2,950.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,900-3,050 and dhayya Rs 3,000- 3,050.
