Gur (jaggery) prices ended steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today after prices hovering both ends on limited alternate exchange of buying and selling, pegged same on last levels.
In contrast, Muzaffarnagar gur market revealed an up trend on the back of shortage of stocks amid speculative buying, registered gains up to Rs 150 per quintal.
Marketmen said scarcity of stocks on restricted arrivals due to adverse weather conditions amid better offtake, led to the the rise in gur prices at Muzaffarnagar.
