Gur prices remain mix

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market witnessed a mixed trend in the national capital today with prices of gur chakku falling on fresh supplies, while dhayya trading higher on paucity of stocks.
Muzaffarnagar gur market showed a fall in prices on fresh supplies.
Marketmen said fresh supplies from manufacturing belts mainly brought down gur prices at Delhi and Muzaffarnagar.
Gur dhayya prices in Delhi rose, supported by tight stocks and better offtake.
In Delhi, gur Chakku prices were down by Rs 100 to settle the day at Rs 3,700-3,800 per quintal.
Meanwhile, gur dhayya prices were higher by Rs 100 to peg at Rs 4,200-4,300 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku prices moved down by Rs 50 to settle at Rs 3,300-3,400 per quintal.
Gur Raskat prices also dropped by Rs 100 to end at Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal on sluggish demand from beer makers.
Coming to Muradnagar, gur Pedi prices advanced by Rs 50 to Rs 3,700-3800, while trading in gur dhayya resumed after a long gap and prices finished at Rs 3,850-3,900 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 4,100-4,200, dhayya Rs 4,200-4,300 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,700-2,750, chakku Rs 3,300- 3,400, khurpa Rs N.Q. and Ladoo Rs N.Q.
