Police said the incident occurred yesterday night but it was reported to police around 8 pm today.
The woman, a native of Ludhiana in Punjab, has been staying in the PG accommodation in Sector-39 for the last couple of months.
In a complaint filed at Gurgaon woman police station, she said that her PG owner Dharmveer Thakran yesterday night forcibly entered into her room and raped her.
He also threatened her with dire consequences if she approach the police.
"Police have registered a complaint of rape and are investigating the case," said Deepak Saharan, DCP of East Gurgaon.
The accused is on run and a manhunt is on to nab him, the DCP added.
