This was Maheshwari's first meeting with the Governor after he recently took over the charge of IG CRPF, Jammu.
Vohra discussed several sensitive aspects of effective internal security management in J&K with the IG during the meeting, an official spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the Governor also gifted a laptop to Mimansha Choudhary, a first year student of B A History at the Lady Shri Ram College for Women in New Delhi, for her outstanding academic performance.
Choudhary had scored 97.4 per cent marks in the Senior Secondary exams in 2012 in the humanities stream and was the topper in the Jammu Division.
