Hafeez's bowling action was reported during the first Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Dubai last November.
The International Cricket Council later suspended him from bowling in international cricket because of his illegal action, which was tested independently at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough United Kingdom in November, 2014.
"Since then Hafeez has done a lot of remedial work on his action and is confident he is ready for the ICC test now," a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official said.
"The selectors can pick him purely as an opening batsman and reports off his bowling assessment test with the ICC should also be available before or during the one-day series in Bangladesh which begins from April 17," the official added.
Hafeez, 34, has taken 43 Test, 122 One-day Internationals and 46 Twenty20 internationals wickets.
Meanwhile, Javeria Wadood, a member of the Pakistan women's cricket team, will also appear for a reassessment test of her bowling action.
