The event was attended by High Commission of India in London, officials from Indian High Commission, Indian Origin MPs and Mayors.
"It's a special moment for me that Haryana Association in UK has recognized my efforts and given me this honour on the Haryana Day. I am very happy with the kind of support I am getting from all the Indians here in UK," Vijender said.
Vijender made his professional debut last month, notching up a Technical Knockout against Brit Sonny Whiting. He will next be seen in action on November 7 against another Englishman Dean Gillen in Dublin.
