"With about 2.5 crore population based on 2 per cent growth, we estimate 5 lakh people will require employment every year. The government can give about 7,000-8,000 jobs on an average every year," Haryana Finance Minister Abhimanyu said here after presenting state budget in Haryana Vidhan Sabha today.
He underscored the need for creating employment opportunities in private sector and self employment opportunities and focused on skill development.
It therefore becomes imperative for the planners to create more job opportunities in the private scector or self employment opportunities in business and industry," he said in the assembly.
He said the only way to ensure jobs for all the youth of Haryana is to ensure higher growth of manufacturing and services sector in the state, besides improving the returns on the agriculture.
