Haryana plans rationalisation of toll tax charges

Haryana is planning to rationalise toll taxes on highways in the state.
The matter will be taken up at a meeting where Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, senior officials of National Highway Authority of India and State Public Works (Building and Roads) Department will be present, an official spokemsman said.
The government had received various representations from people living in areas nearby highways, including the ones along Karnal, Rohtak, seeking rationalisation of toll charges as they have to commute every day for work and routine purposes, the spokesman said.
