Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya marked the occasion of Raksha Bandhan by planting saplings in the Raj Bhavan premises here today.
On the occasion, a number of girls and women tied rakhi to the new governor. Arya took oath as the new Governor of Haryana yesterday.
Arya said Raksha Bandhan is the festival of love and affinity, which strengthens the relationship between brothers and sisters. He added that the presence of girls and women had filled the Raj Bhavan with happiness.
Meanwhile, women police personnel from the state Rapid Action Force tied rakhi to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at the latter's residence here.
