Haryana government intends to make change of land use (CLU) rules easier for social works, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today in Bahadurgarh, near Rohtak.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone of Maharaja Agrasen Medical University in Bahadurgarh, said an official release here.
He also laid stones for four new medical, nursing, paramedical and hospital management colleges to come up in the medical university at the cost of about Rs 500 crore.
The Chief Minister said with the setting up of Maharaja Agrasen Medical University, the whole state and its nearby areas would get the facility of better medical education and health care.
It is a big achievement for Haryana as well as its adjoining state Delhi. The present state government is committed to providing better health care facilities at village level, he said.
The state government was also pacing up the process of setting up a medical college in Manethi, Kalpana Chawla Medical College in Karnal along with new medical colleges in eight districts, the CM said.
In the remaining districts, medical colleges would soon be set up, he added.
Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Birender Singh, said no society or nation could progress without proper education.
Though there is lack of adequate health care facilities in the state and the country but after the formation of BJP Government in Haryana and at the Centre, concerted efforts were being made in this direction, he said.
