While stating this today, Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said that "the building was in a dilapidated condition owing to which the state government has decided to renovate it."
The building has three blocks, each having four rooms and one VIP suite and two single storey structures to accommodate staff.
Surjewala said that the new building would consist of one VIP suite with two bed rooms, nine guest rooms, four small rooms for subordinate staff and two dormitories with eight beds for drivers.
He added that the estimated cost of the project included the cost of furniture, furnishings, electricity generator, solar water heater, lift, rain water harvesting and other electrical appliances.
