Justice N Kirubakaran hearing a petition filed by J Suyambulingam, Secretary of Suyambulingam Primary School in Tirunelveli district, asked the Home Secretary and DGP to submit a report as to how how many organisations were functioning under the name "human rights" organisation and thier activities.
The petitioner submitted that a, Tirunelveli district based organisation was harassing the school managementclaiming that it was a human rights organisation in support of a teacher Arunodhaya Selvi who had been placed under suspension for indiscipline.
The Director of School Education who earlier ordered the school to give her pay after she gave the service register to the school management. The management had filed a case regarding on it and it was pending in the High Court.
The socalled human rights organisation were asking the school management to give the salary to the teacher.
The members of the organisation including G Wilson accompanied by the teacher barged into the school and threatened him, Suyambulingam contended.
Though he gave a complaint to Tirunelveli SP and the Inspector of district crime branch, no action had been taken against the organisation. Hence the court should intervene and direct the police to register a case based on their complaint against the organisaztion and take legal action against the organisation, the petitioner said.
