Justice P N Prakash directed the police to register a case against the minister if it found a prima facie case while considering the complaint of the realtor S V S Kumar.
In his plea, Kumar submitted that "he had paid Rs 30 lakh to Kamaraj towards his election expenses after he promised him to help evict occupants of his property in Chennai."
"I was attacked by rowdy elements sent by Minister Kamaraj because of which I and my wife were forced to seek asylum in our neighbor's residence. My mother has also left the village", he submitted.
Additional Public Prosecutor told the court that the DSP sent letters to Kumar to appear for inquiry.
The counsel further averred that his client's safety was in peril as he had made allegations against an official and the minster.
On hearing both sides, Justice Prakash directed Kumar to appear before DSP, Mannargudi, and also instructed the Deputy Police Superintendent to provide security to the complainant.
