Justice R.Mala, before whom the contempt petition filed by Advocate B.Ramesh Babu came up for hearing, in her order said "On perusal of counter affidavits filed by Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) it is clear that they have taken effective steps for inquiry. So I do not find any disobedience in the implementation of the order passed by this court. Hence the contempt petition is dismissed."
In his present contempt plea, he contended that the DVAC did not respond to his two legal notices asking it to comply with the court order and register the case.
Complying with the July 23 order of the Judge, the DVAC filed affidavits detailing the action taken on Babu's complaint.
