"In the common man's imagination, Courts are what Bollywood shows and people believe judge sits with a hammer shouting just order, order and does nothing. Common man think that judges just record statement of one witness in whole day and adjourn the matter," Justice B D Ahmed said.
Justice Ahmed who is also the executive chairman of Delhi State Legal Service Authority said that in past one year around 8000 students interaction programmes were held in which 1800 schools of Delhi were covered to create legal awareness and legal literacy.
"Theoretically Rule of law has three aspects--supremacy of law, equality before law and predominance of legal spirit but for every common man rule of law is different interpretation," he said.
Justice Ahmed said that judiciary needs to build roads which lead the poor, needy and marginalised to the citadel of justice which is court.
