The court directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police concerned to supervise the investigation and directed the investigating officer to remain present in the court on the next date of hearing on August 12.
Yogesh Thakker, who claims to be a disciple of Osho guru Rajneesh since 1979, alleged in his PIL that the spiritual guru's signature was forged in his will by the trustees of the Osho International Foundation.
Following this, Thakker approached the high court seeking transfer of the case to CBI.
A division bench of justices N H Patil and P D Naik was today informed by the police that in 2014, the will in dispute was sent to handwriting experts for verification but the report is yet to be received.
The court directed the investigating officer to remain present in the court on the next date of hearing.
