As part of the five-and-a-half-year deal, HCL will provide end-to-end integrated infrastructure services, including data centre, service desk, workplace, network and security services, application operations and cross functional services, HCL said in a statement.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
"Our partnership with HCL allows us to focus on our core business, while also making sure that our IT infrastructure processes are optimised for future success," Statkraft CIO and Senior Vice President IT Johnny Langsrud said.
Statkraft is Norway's largest generator of renewable energy and the third largest power producer in the Nordics. It produces hydropower, wind power, solar power, gas-fired power and supplies district heating.
